“I love it! I love your thoughts about my art and it DOES emerge. I often look at my intended subject and think ‘I have no idea how to paint this!’ But I don’t let that stop me! I start and it appears, it emerges. Sometimes the process is a bit more laborious and I have to battle with it. But when it goes well it just appears! It’s as though someone else is in charge!
However; as a cure for perfectionism? I’m not so sure. The advantage is that I don’t have to say it. I could never talk about my art like this but I can let you say it for me, and I like that! It makes a change! It’s a relief not to be the one banging on about my own work and wracking my brains trying to say something new!
